My makeup tips

I thought I would share some of my FAV makeup products with you all to do a full BASE of makeup for a night out or a special event. The BASE to me is a Primer, Foundation, Concealer and setting powder. Once your base is covered and set in place you can move onto your contouring, blush, bronzer etc. A flawless base makes your makeup look photoshoot ready, no filters needed.

PRIMERS:

Without a doubt, I NEVER do my makeup without first putting on moisturiser and then using a PRIMER. The Primer is the base to your makeup, a way for your makeup to sit nicely against your skin. I suggest choosing a primer for your skin type. My skin type is NORMAL meaning it’s not too dry or too oily. I LOVE a luminous Primer as a base and for that reason I am listing this primer as my FAVE.

ESTEE LAUDER- ” THE ILLUMINATOR”

FOUNDATIONS:

I have a HOLY GRAIL Foundation that will forever be my favourite. I LOVE full coverage when it comes to makeup for events or a night out, so my weapons of choice for full coverage flawless makeup are;

NARS- “NATURAL RADIANT LONG WEAR FOUNDATION” In the Shade Barcelona.

ESTEE LAUDER– “DOUBLE WEAR” In the shade 4N2- Shell Beige

CONCEALERS:

I have tried MANY brands over the years and again I LOVE a full coverage concealer. My weapons of choice for perfect coverage are;

TARTE- “SHAPE TAPE- CONTOUR CONCEALER” In the Shade 35H Medium Honey. 

This is a FULL Coverage thicker finishing.

URBAN DECAY- “ALL NIGHTER CONCEALER” In the Shade Medium-Neutral

This is a FULL Coverage with a thinner finishing.

SETTING POWDER

A good setting powder is key to a flawless base and your makeup staying put and not creasing as the day/night goes on. I have tried SO many setting powder, but the best one yet is

LAURA MERCIER – TRANSLUCENT LOOSE SETTING POWDER in the shade Translucent Honey

I LOVE to dab this powder softly under my eyes straight after I have applied my concealer, and with a bigger brush sweep the powder across the rest of my face.
